Professional Hands-On Diagnostic Walk-Abouts

Virtual Walkabouts

Using ZOOM, join OSU Extension Educator Joe Boggs and guest participants to discuss weather trends and their impacts on plants, weeds, and landscapes; be introduced to in-depth information about plants, trees, weeds, and insects in the landscape by experts in the field; and participate in live diagnostics of the landscape.

Southern Live Walk-Abouts Greater Cincinnati BYGLive!  Located in the Greater Cincianatti / Tri-State Area, join Extension Educator Joe Boggs in-person at various arboreta, parks, and landscape locations to walk about and discuss landscape diagnostics, ID, scouting, and management practices live outdoors (COVID-permitting).
Northeast Walk-Abouts

Diagnostic Walkabouts:  Organized by ONLA and OSU Extension, participate interactive, hands-on activities for a critical look at landscape and turf during landscape walks throughout Northeast Ohio.

Join Jacqueline Kowalski with Ohio State University Extension, and other horticulturalists who lead in-depth discussions about scouting, diagnostics, ID, landscape management. This is for commercial horticulturalists only.

Previous locations have included: Cleveland Zoo, Olmsted Falls Sunset Memorial Park, Stan Hywet Hall, and BGSU Firelands. 

Northwest Ohio Walk-Abouts Woodlawn Cemetary and Arboretum Tree Walk:  Every March - November, our Extension Educator in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Amy Stone, leads a walk at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum in partnership with Patty Toneff, Foundation Director at the cemetery. The walks are offered on the 4th Tuesday of the month. This year, all the walks are virtual using Zoom and begin at 7 pm. If you would like to attend, email Amy at stone.91@osu.edu to receive the meeting notification.  

Nursery Industry Integrated Pest Management Meetings

Nursery growers for NE Ohio are invited to join Tom deHaas for a bimonthly overview of pest managements in the nursery.
